I bought an 88 250r that was missing the ignition and was told by the previous owner that he was only able to get the quad to run correctly with the ESR CR250 ignition. I bought the ignition and put it on and the bike is running fine. I was just curious about the timing. I know on the trx stator you can adjust the timing and I was curious if you would do it the same way for the CR Ignition.

This is prolly a dumb question but thanks for the help anyway.

I am trying to learn as much as possible so any links posted would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jake

you can adjust the timing, on the top screw for the stator, the hole is ovalled, if you put the screw to the front of the hole, its advanced and back is retarded. You don't want to do this, though. Put the screw in the middle of the slit, that ignition is advanced as it is compared to a stock ignition.
