Hi

I was just wandering what you guys yous for detectors?
I just got a 600RR and a nice radar detector would be nice to have, and it would eventually go in my car when I get one.

Whats good, whats not?
I would like something thats invisable to cop detectors, and that would be able to detect all type of radars.

What would be good on a bike, and what would be good on a car?

I don't want to spend a grand on this but would like to have something decent.

Let me know what you use, and if you like it.

thanks

I actually had one on my R1, couldn't really hear the beep but it also had blinking lights. It was cheap wal mart but worked...

Yeah for hooking it up on the bike, I know you can get some with a ear peice so you can hear it beep.

So no one else on here has one...come on guys, what brand, price, and who do you like them?

thats bs, from what i see they both have the same options, but again thats your opinion

the escort has a option to buy a cord to hook directly to a power source so no plug is needed and a ear piece u can plug into it

its worth the money if u ask me and then some

Just look up a Valentine on ebay and see what the used ones go for compared to a Escort..

Oh yeah, Escort used to be the best when Mike Valentine was the man behind the scene! Escort sold out years ago to the Chinese and Mike said screw you and built his own and kept the quality!

So the Valentine one is the best bar none !!

No the only problem is pulling into wal mart.

To tell you the truth it really works. I am very suprised at how well it works. Farthest it started beeping was about 2 miles. I thought it was taking a **** on me but then I saw a came and it started going more nuts.

o yeah, by the way... make sure you DON'T get one that scrambles the radar dectector because cops can tell that you have one,in alot of states the dectectors them selfs are legal, how ever the scrambler is not...

The problem is it picks up alot of other "radars" from automatic opening doors to fire alarms and it gets annoying after a while. My brother has a Cobra and he got sick of it because of it going off on nearly everything, other than that it worked great.

Thing is radar detectors are strictly prohibited up here, are these the latest in technology or will they be detected by the cops' detectors??

Radar detectors are legal in OKLA., but jammers are not. With instant on radar sets X, K, XK bands it's fairly hard to beat the cops. Besides if I stop someone who has a detector, even for another offense besides speed, I figure he's gotten by several time before and is due at least one from me. If you just go fast on the track/trail you don't have to worry about it. I mean really, do you like your job so much, that you speed to it?:ermm: Be safe.

Don't think it only needs radar...a lot of cops have laser now :grr:

Forgot the name of ours but it picks up radar and laser all i have seen in Michigan along the lines of radar the cops use are X K and KA band but X is usually shopping stores.

Ours is called Lydar. We use it for GPS mapping accident scenes, on land and lakes. It's cool, you can pick any car coming at you on a road. Center, outside, or inside lane, and get just their speed. No batching or ghosting.
