Kfx450?

Is it me or does the kfx seem to not be to popular? Like in all the "post your quad" threads, i never see them. And if i do there all stock? Im assuming companies didnt come out with parts for them yet? Idk, i just though it was weird being as when the yfz and the 450r came out, even the LTR, there were pics EVERY where.

theres one model year of kfxs and how many model years of trxs and yfzs and parts are coming out for them quickly

no the LTR took a while to be popular as well, my guess is after this race season ends you'll see way more getting built.

kawi isnt very popular in ATVs anyways. I mean what other high performance ATV did they make??? just the tecate and those were not popular either. Alot of people become loyal to a certain company and most either go with honda or yamaha, those 2 companys are always with it...especially ATVs

i 4got about that tank....that is one of the worst quad to buy IMO....kawisaki has to do something different to win over alot of the ATV market i think, and i doubt they will do anything special...the 1st to produce a 250f quad would be good, or a high performance 2 stroke, they would win over alot of people that way. but nothing will happen with them. Suzuki will be the first with a 250f quad

I haven't seen many either...not in pics or in person. Hell, in total I have seen two of them run, and both were (I assume) basically stock and piped. I thought they were going to be alot bigger. Maybe with time?

personaly i was thinking there very popular for the amount of time they have been out... great quad, i cant think of a negative thing to say about it.

yeah the kfx poupularity will definatly pick up more sooner than later its just that alot of people that still live under rocks think this is yet another zuke with green plastic (like the 400's and so many dirtbikes at one time), and alot more people (like before i got mine) are waiting to get one but also waiting to see what the ds450 has in store, and lastly it did take a while for the ltr aftermarket stuff to come out but when the ltr came out it had the cherry bomb mod which kept people busy long enough for aftermarket to catch up.

theres a few of them on the local tracks all the time. the kfx will probably be my next quad, or an ltr. one guy last week said he REALLY hates his. he races MX on a bone stock one, so im sure once he gets some smaller tires, and suspension he'll like it more.

The best 450 ive ridden is the KFX450r! I liked it way more stock than my mx ready trx450R. If you think with an open mind its the best out right now. Second would be honda. I dont like the yfz or ltr at all. they handle and feel like crap. If i dont like the ds450 or ktm450mx when i ride them my next 450 will be a kawi for sure. Its way better than a 450R honda.

yeah not many people ride kawi quads they make sweet dirt bikes tho not to mention there green looks insane on dirt bikes as well as the kfx-r but yeah honda makes the most sales on ohv's with yammy in second

thats only because they never had a 450 to compete with the other 450's, and most people are in the market for 450's

Kawasaki raised the bar for the other companies. I think we will all benifit from this. I might be getting the kfx next week, the can-am looks fugly to me. I would have picked the honda due to my discount but basically no updates the honda is not an option for me. I sold my yfz and miss riding and racing bad!:scary:

I think a couple things could be a factor.

Kawasaki has probably the smallest market share of atv's which translates into fewer around and less dealerships.

It's an 08 model and I think production is less than full capacity because of the early release.

It's a first model quad. I wanted to get one, but I'm waiting until all the bugs are worked out. I'll likely get one next year or late 08 for an 09 model.

Theyve only been out since what? march, thats 4 months. not to many companies have a huge aftermarket just yet. plus its a first year 450 for kawi. Nobody like to be the guinee pig.Once the 08's are released you will see alot more. Kinda like the LTR's. There werent to many 06's but after the linkage bugs and whatnot were fixed alot more people bounced on that.
