ok so i'm about to order a air tank for my truck and it comes with horns...

i can buy one set up with a 110PSI tank that will blow the horns at 135dB for
$150.

or another set up with a 150PSI tank that will blow the horns at 152dB for $270??

do ya'll think its worth the extra $120 to blow some horns an extra 17 or so dB louder? or do you think you could even really tell at that point?

Every 10DB is 50% louder. Just think about that. My buddy has the train horn setup in his truck with 5 bugles its over 200psi. Its ridiculously loud.

ok i got these big rig horns its 2 horns from international i got to buy a tank and compessure for it yet would it make any difference on the compessor size or the tank size on how loud the horns go ?

well i'd love to have the 152dB but i only have $300 in spending cash right now so i dont want to blow ALL 300 on 1 set up if i can get the otehr set up for half the price and spend the rest of the money on something else? maybe a snake? hahahahha

We had a set of the train horns with a 3 gallon tank at 180 P.S.I on our HHMWV in Iraq. They were crazy loud and would clear the streets for at least a 1/4 mile ahead of us. We had an ultra low one, and a super high pitch one for messing with people. We'd use the super high pitch one to clear a crowd away from our vehicle.

We tested ours at 172 Db at full pressure.
