BOY does my porting suck

i dont know about you guys but iv not seen this before.....take a close look at the filter it is sucked in,when i noticed it i thought could the intake have that much vacum.......could the ports be pulling on the filter that hard.....it seems so...i did redesign-or-reshape the intake ports...whatever you want to call it

i started the bike and rev'ed it and if you rev it really hard you can see it pulling in the filter...kinda like a twisting pull

i dont know what to make of this one

your head pipe makes me feel better, mine is turning dark too
(It seems to get hot faster lately also)

well this one turned like tha after only a few minutes,but it was also to lean...i went from a 160 main to 188

and moved the needle from 3rd to 4th

so if it was jetted right it may not have turned color

i cant see that it sucking real hard can be a bad thing, because that seems to look like it would make it faster, on the hondas the stock filter has a cage in the center, see if that will fit on the K&N and i wouldnt recommend sticking a foam filter on there, because i can see that sucking in parts of the foam into the motor = Not good
