Is it worth the 500 extra to get it over the 07?

if so what did they change exactly...I know what the site says but what is the advantage to the 08

i dont know why suzuki didnt anounced it in the release of the '08 LTR, but theres lots of parts from inside the engine that were updated.

the previous transmissions were bad and all the gears were changed with some other things. I dont know yet if you can update your 06 and 07 transmission with the new parts tho.

Did they fix the tranny whine and the weak shift pin?

no you have to buy the bracket, walsh makes one and so does another company i forget the name, it costs around $100. I rode mine for awhile without it and it was fine but i recommend putting it in asap.

Sounds like they made some improvements. I'd like to see what all the changes are besides "more power and better suspension".

Might have to get one in a couple years when my arm and shoulder are all healed up and I'm able to race again.

well...boy neal, you sure seemed convicing that you were not going to be racing or getting another quad after you sell you YFZ450, oh and which by the way, good luck trying to sell your YFZ450.

Yea well having your arm/shoulder destroyed tends to make you reconsider ever racing again but I reckon I'll more than likely race again once I've healed completely.

Adam might be getting me a bunch of free parts for my YFZ, if I get enough good parts I'll more than likely keep my YFZ. If not, I'll sell it and plan on getting another quad in a year or two except I'll be going used this time around.

well that sounds cool. Yea, I just decided to keep my YFZ450 and mod it out. Hey, I am going to be switching mine to long travel for mx racing.

I see dispute over the shift pin relocater for the 07's, but can't find anywhere if someone knows it was fixed for 2008. Does anyone know for sure if you need to buy it for the 08's? Im selling my ex and buying one, and wanted to make sure.

I don't know if I'm just lucky, or what, but I have an 06 and have never had a problem with my shift pin.

Hmmm....I also see that they updated the tranny to help with the false neutral and notchy feel....is this supposed to mean that they addressed the whining issue?
