Whats the difference between long travel a-arms and extended a-arms cause you can get them both +2?

Longtravel shocks usually have 2 to 3 inches more shaft travel over std travel, your std travel shocks are 16in or so eye to eye and longtravel are in the 19's to 20's eye to eye, so you gain more travel from longtravel do you need it ? it's all a? of money i don't think it makes you faster if you have a correct std travel set up you can still be fast, like i said longtravel is just more $$$$$$.

I don't think that's accurate....
