will a 300ex bumper fit on my 400ex?

looking at used bumpers will a 300ex fit? I have heard a honda 450 will but what else will?

No it wont fit. I tried it and they are different sizes.

Itll fit if you dont mind taking a rubber mallet or deadblow hammer to spread the bumper where it attaches to the frame. I had a 300ex bumper on my 450r for a lil while before my new rath bumper came in for my 450r.

Same here, I have a 300ex bumper off a 450R on my 440EX

I've seen 400ex bumpers go one to 300ex using spacers at the lower frame mount, but going the opposite way will definitely require a "BFH" bending a good aftermarket bumper to make it fit doesn't seem right to me... not like I should talk though, I buy AC bumpers and they require bending even if its for the correct model..:ermm:

Yah very true. I even had to spread my new Rath bumper to fit my 450R. It was a tight fit.

just tapped it out a bit on the bottom and it mounted up perfectly
thats a 300ex bumper right there
