View Full Version : Good sand tires that are not paddles?

So who knows which tires do good in deep sand/dunes, and are not paddles? I'm thinking realtors, maybe Sur-traks...what else? Looks like we might be planning a trip this spring to do some dune riding, but I don't want a set of tires that will only work well in sand..

those two tires are heavy, which is bad. Stock EX or Raptor tires work pretty well. On a bone stock 01 raptor I could pull 300+ foot climbs on stock tires...they work

i ride sand every now and then and the stock ex tires are ok, i doubt they would be any good if you ride a lot in sand though. imo

In an older issue of Dirt Wheels they did an article about a beach race. Just about everybody was running stock 400ex tires.
