Textual Tattoos

I've been itchin' to get another tattoo done and have had a few ideas , but the one that stands out the most is getting a textual/lettering tattoo done on me .

I've searched on this site and saw a few guys have tats of their daughters names and friends that have passed away ... now I'm wondering if anyone else has gotten anything lately .

I've been checking out www.bmeink.com and they have some pretty good examples of locations that I'd like to get something done . I'd like to get the words " Strength" and "Courage" done on my wrists and either " Strive to Achieve" or " Never Give Up" done somewhere else ( possibly rib area) .

So what's everyone else got???

I got some writting on my arm(old) and my dogtag info under my arm on my ribs. I'll take a picture tonight if you need to see it.

I plan on getting my name done on my upper back when I turn eighteen. Want them to make it looked carved in my back.

Probaly not what you mean. But its lettering. Got it done like a month ago, still fresh in the pic.

Hey Greg this thread surprises me. You get to know people pretty well on here over the years and I never thought you would be getting a tattoo, just doesnt seem your style.

I say give it some thought. It isn't for everyone, BUT if you do choose too get something original ,that means something to you. THose without tattoos are soon going to be in the minority, that is why I respect people who don't have them as well. Good luck

Howie I already have 1 tattoo .... time for another . I got one last summer while on vacation with my girlfriend and 2 of our friends . :p

Hell I'd like to get a sleeve done , but my girlfriend wouldn't be too happy with that . :ermm:

its says "Ride 4 Life" if you can not read it..most cant haha

I love it because it goes with what I live for.

What I did was just went to the artist with what I wanted it to say and he drew it up right in front of me.

hey brother i know this is an old thread but how did that feel on your ribs? im going to get one on mine next week, it will be my 4th tat but im still nervous, ive heard its killer in that spot.

Your ribs are the Worse or 2nd worse place the get them. I didn't fall asleep on this one.

Of my tattoo's the one over my kidney probably was the most uncomfortable. The ribs, chest , arm, and upper back didn't bother me at all.
