need your help if you had the choice between a webcam or 450r carb what would you buy for your 400ex????? budget is low right now so need to make the right choice.....i know the webcam will make the biggest difference but just want to hear your opinions.

cam woke my motor up, i have a carb i just havent put it on yet

yeah its time to upgrade cams...hot cams are cool in all but the webcam is the real deal.....what carb do you have... 04/05 450r or 06/07 450r carb

btw how is the hotcam stage 2 is it still peppy and great off the line like the stage 1????.....because everyone says that they are more for top end

I got a stage 2 in my 440, and pulls hard off bottom and screams on top. Get a stage 2.

i just put a stage 2 in mine and love it! still have my awesome low end power but now i have a **** load of mid and top end power i love it best mod ive done! get a stage 2 u wont be disapointed

dont web cams use hardened rockers? Just a thought, since you would have to buy more than just a cam.

Although that cam would definately bring your motor to life...:eek2:

Yes you will need to have your rockers hardwelded and resurfaced. Stiffer valve springs may be necessary as well... just a thought.

This is why most op for hotcams...

stage 1 hotcam adds tons down low, stage 2 hotcam is all around now... stage 3 is all top end.

A piston/cam combo is usually one of the best upgrades for a 400ex besides an exhaust/filter.

so the stage2 cam is now a good cam for a stock bore piped and filtered bike?

we dont use harden rockers we use kendal gt 20-50 oil and mixed 50/50 with lucas heavy duty oil have no problems with rockers
