400EX axle, bearing carrier to 450R

i just bought a new 05' 450R and im tryin to save a little money, and i was just wondering what parts would switch over from the EX to the 450...double bearing carrier and dura blue axle would like to know about especially

You know I hear a lot of people saying this, but have you tried it? I know some people have even done it and run it this way. The carriers are different sizes and the bearing surfaces on the axles are differnt.... I have the proof too, because I took pics. The 400ex carrier is 1/8 longer than the 450R one. It will throw it off one way or the other.... I wouldn't recommend it
