Boring carb out

Is there any real advantages or disadvantages on boring out a yfz 450 carb from 41mm to just about 43mm. Will it really increase HP enough to justify the cost of about $300. I know guys out there are doing this, & if you want to discreat about this PLEASE PM me

well i always hear about 400ex guys putting a 450r carb on their bikes and they get preety good power gains.
