Exhaust Pipe burns

Well I was working on my quad today and it had no plastic on. So i took it for a spin and went to do a wheelie and burned my leg pretty bad.

dont feel bad i did the same thing but i just leaned back to far, saddest part of all i have a tattoo right by where i burnt my leg and i kinda burnt the tattoo so yea that really sucks

I've always said that if I were going to torture someone, I would burn them. There is no worse feeling in the world-IMHO. I'd start by using a torch to burn their toenails off, then I'd....:devil:

I remember my first pipe burn, it was while riding my 1982 XR80 at about age 10.

i burnt my leg yesterday, not as bad as yours but i took the heat shield off my pipe, and my peg hit where the screw hole is, so you can see the hole in the burn haha

oh wait i have 2 exhaust burns, these kids were loadin up there 450r in the truck and had no ramps and well they were stuggling soooo i helped, i got on the exhaust side so when it went up my forearm touched the exhaust and it was still hot sooooo i got a nice happy face burn on my arm

Surprisingly it only hurt for about a minute when it happened. I have no feeling in the burn area right now, I even wiped it down with alcohol and it didn't hurt at all.

Oh ya as far as picking out the gauze... I used the non stick pads, so hopefully that will help. The part that hurts the most is peeling the tape off of my leg because it sticks to the hair and rips it out.

Right now its turned a dark purple color.

omg that sucks, i think the worst pain is getting burns/ getting road rash, i will never forget scraping my back on the roas while doin a 3rd gear pinned wheelie on my 50. OMG that hurt SOOO bad. Picking the rocks out + alcohol. OMG AHHHHHH

jesus christ that sucks. About 2 years ago my friend was riding my 250ex and i was on my pocketbike, and he stopped short in front of me and my leg went up the wheel, and was pinned against the exhuast pipe for like 10 seconds. I had to go to the hospital and ****. It was gross.

o yea when i cut the end of my finger off it was wrapped up and i changed it out everyday but the gauze would stick to the end :eek2:

i did the same thing nick about 2 months ago. I have a scar from it but oh well. It wasnt that painful at all.

I get a new burn on my arm every day working at a Honda Dealership lol (although mine are not nearly as bad as that one) . The dang engine compartments are so small and I keep touching the exhaust pipe...ahhh oh well. When I was a little kid, my dad used to ride me around in his 75 corvette that had side pipes. One day, I got out of the car by stepping on one of the pipes in my bare feet and although I don't remember it, I heard it was a REAL bad burn. I hope I never make the mistake again!

right now i have a burn in the shape of a 300ex heat sheild. it doesnt hurt though, except when my boots rubbed it and took the skin off

Codys was deeper then yours...and I know you had to hurt like he did:( Cody got pinned by another bike during a race when he was 7 and it melted his jersey into his skin. took a few hours of them seperating skin from fabric. he is 14 now and i took the pic 2 minutes ago...lol

yeah the date on my camera isn't right i took that about 10 minutes ago and i have a scar on the back of my thigh from a not so fun race that looks a lot like his except it was my pants and not my jersey
