yea i lost my key for my 400ex and was wonderin if there is a way to get a new key or do i gotta get a whole new ignition and wireing??? thanks

if u bought it used check ur manual and see if they wrote the key number down anywhere. if not call honda, im sure they can fix u up.

yea i checked the manuel and there is nothing in there. guess ill call the honda dealership tomorrow and ask them

if not you can get an ignition off ebay for cheap

I had same problem, pop the lock tumbler out. there is a code on the ignition tumbler itself then you can take it to a locksmith.

My other option was to take it to a honda dealer. they will give you a new key but they told me i had to take out the ignition and bring it in. the locksmith i took it to called the dealer with the code i found on tumbler. The dealer told him what the cuts were and it cost me 20 dollars for 3 keys

I had this problem on the blaster. There was a sticker on the outside of the ignition. It was a black sticker with a code lightly stamped in it. You can only see it under a bright light.

Then I took that to a dealer and he cut a key using that code and it worked.

But that was a yamaha. You may have to disassemble the switch.

you don't need the key i don't even have an ignition on mine just push the button and it fires up...

all you do is follow the wires to where they plug in and put a jumper between the black and red wire....NO Key needed
