ok well as u guys know i just bought this, it has a kehith carb (stock?) reed spacer (stock?) and only performance mods besides those are fmf head pipe (stock silencer) and uni air filther with the lid on...

problem: i was riding it all day, running good, smokes for a while after start up (20-30min) and then goes good, i was going down a dirt road 6th WOT and it just died, so i thought i blew sumtin... wouldnt start... waited 15-20 min and it started road home fine, took it easy... so i thought everything was alirght

then today i go out for a ride, get into 6WOT for about 20 sec and it started to cut out and die... pulled in clutch and reved... it was fine, decided to turn around before i went any father and it would cut out in 4th, down shift to 3rd it would be alright for a lil then cut out... before i knew it i was in first and it stalled, wouldnt start for a couple mins.. then i putted home...

soz for the long post, but anyone have troubls like this before? i havnt checked the jetting but the plug is a lil black, im mixing 40:1

also i put a b7es plug in because it was foulin 8's... idk if this is the prob. or not.. wouldnt think it could be

if your this inexperienced i would get a honda service manuel. stock is a 150 so the 172 is to big for your mods.

i changed the main jet on my blaster, and ajusted air screw.. thats all iever had to do though... does it sound like its jetted for winter? cause the ice raced. and then it sat for about a year so im not sure if they ever put it back down for the summer... should i try a 160 main? im also gona check the reeds while its apart

172 is a little fat for the mods try a 168 and do your plug chops and go from there and find out what needdle and what clip its in.

not that much. i would put it back to stock jetting. 150 main, needle in the 3rd groove, and 45 pilot.but what year 250r motor and carb is it in it.

soz i thought i said it was a 1987 250r, as far as i know it is a stock carb. and the motor is .20 bore if that matters... and a reed spacer, possible reeds... i just bought it trying to get it running right, the guy told me it just had head pipe bore and uni

When i was running the same mods i had a 162 main needle in the middle and 47 pilot. dont go any leaner than 162 on the main until u do plug chops.
