Do I need hotstart???

I was wondering if i need the hot start cable in my crf450 carb....I cant get the engine to start and was thinking that it might be a problem?

it makes it alot easier to start when you flood the motor or stall it. I would put it on. If you never started a crf40r(or almost any liquid cooled 4 stroke) motor, there is a certain technigne to doing so. It took me awhile to learn how to start them.
