With a filter change it takes 2200ml. You'll get a lot of responses on regular or synthetic. Just get a high grade Motorcycle oil. Make sure it's made for a wet clutch. Motorcycle oil doesn't have the friction modifiers in it like regular car engine oil.

With Suzuki 10w - 40, 4 stroke oil you can't go wrong...

Mine took a little under 2.5 quarts with new filter, but it is possible my quad has had a big bore kit done to it also.

Here is a tid bit that wasn't in the Clemen's repair manual and that is where the oil filter is at. If you are sitting on the bike it is on the right hand side above the water pump. The cover has 3 screws in it in the shape of a triangle...

I took me awhile to find mine, hope it helps...

i prefer to run semi-synthetic. i have noticed a drop in engine temp when using synthetic as opposed to petrol oil. i dont think you really need a full sythetic unless you have like a big bore kit...

one more tid bit, you're going to want to drain from the tranny AND the oil tank. i made that mistake the first couple changes then realized...it didn't do anything but its a good idea to have all fresh oil...

The Z motor is a dry sump engine meaning oil is not kept inside the crankcase but is in remote tank. That being said there is some residual oil in the crank case that needs to be drained at the same time. In other words there are two oil plugs. One on the tank and one on the bottom of the engine.
