ok, just got pilot set at 40 - runs good until about 3/4 throttle.
dropped the needle clip from 2 to 3
had a 175 main in - ran bad, just dies at 3/4
dropped down to 165 main - ran bad, just dies at 3/4
too rich? too lean?
am i going the wrong way with the mains?

dang, this shouldn't be so difficult...

im not much on the 300ex but i think its wayy too much. of a main jet. that sounds right for a 400ex wit no air box lid thou. do a search or maybe someone can help ya on this. but ur wayyy to rich.

thats my question...up or down...LOL

this is bangin gears up my driveway at full tilt
1st is good, 2nd is good, 3rd is where it starts
its like you keep your thumb in the exact same position, but nothing is happening...i'd bet you could even come to a complete stop if you didn't change your thumb position. you can bang into 4th and the same thing happens...it just dies...

i guess tomorrow i'll start going down jet sizes and see.

it actually ran great on the high end with the 175 main in,but the low end suffered and it was terrible when it was cold. so now i get the bottem end good, and mess up the top...go figure!
