Hey im looking at these quads but im not sure which one is the best deal and what quad beats the other. Ive owned a 250r in pass so i know what it can do.but as far as moods and money whats be best deal. and which quad will out preform the others.

1st choice

4. '06 carrier, swing arm, and rear suspension: There were difects in the '04 swing arms so we replaced it.

get the YFZ450. in the dirt wheels they had a shootout with all the 450's and the yamaha beat the suzuki and was the best overall quad.

LOOK I JUST BOUGHT A LRT450 AN I HAD IT FOR A MONTH NOW I JUST GOT THE YOSH RS-5 PIPE BUT WHEN I BOUGHT IT I TOLD THEM TO PUT THE CHERRYBOMB ON IT AN NERF BARS THEY JUST SENT ME MY PIPE I STILL RODE IT WITHOUT THE PIPE I JUST PUT IT ON TODAY AN MAN IT IS A MONSTER SHE JUST GOT HER NAME TODAY ITS "BETTA" IT MEANS YOU BETTER HANG ON OR ITS YOUR ***

YFZ all the way. I'm about to go get my brand new YFZ 450 Special Edition in like 2 hours, I cant wait. And for the guy that said the YFZ is the slowest 450 stock, your wrong its the LTR.

a ltz 400 or piped 400ex will give a stock LTR a race....im not saying when you mod the LTR its slow because they're bad when modded......but in stock form a LTR is the slowest 450 (not that it really matters who keeps they're bike stock)

no i own a 06 yfz wit a stage 2 hot cams lager valves heavy duty springs 495 ice cubed big bore and many more still does not compare to my ltr

still, the yfz with those mods, will really out class the other two

the ltr is quite a bit slower than the yfz in stock form

well i prefer the ltr's over the yfz but i think w/ that many mods and that price on the yfz, go with that.

haha thats funny, because i got my 2007 Yamaha YFZ450 SE today brand new, and the LTR cost about 500 less brand new. So if i really wanted the LTR i would have went for that piece.

man you guys bicker like women. Hes not asking which quad is better the yfz or the ltr hes asking what would be a better buy... Personally I would go with the yfz just cause of the mod list, But try riding all three of them and choose the one you feel the most comfortable riding. Thats the key anyways, you cant be fast unless you feel comfortable on the bike

that's a fine opinion but if you look at the top pro riders most have ditched yamaha and jumped on with honda.
I'd go with yfz450

he has a big bore ice cubed yfz and says "I cant list that much"

like having a dodge viper and a ford escort and bragging about
his escorts sport wiper blades.

I am not flaming. words cant say the attitude of the writting

the only reason why they ditched yamaha and went to honda is because engine builders are getting more reliable power out of the honda. the yamaha is still rated the best 450cc sport quad.

thats just what i have HEARD and READ.

ride the yfz and the ltr, after i got the ltr i could not stand going from it to the yfz it just didnt feel right, there is a completely different feel, as motor wise i guess i can not tell as big of a difference as some people say, cherry and a pipe on the ltr and it pulls strong, recently got to ride a yfz with some motor work and still wasnt as impressed as i thought it would of been, Go with the one that you most like you can work on the power later i feel power is the last thing anyone needs to work on anyways.

i got away from this form for awhile because most people on here say the most rediculious things....like a z400 beating a 450r....the yfz being the slowest 450....the LTR being the fastest in stock form....but wow now im just blown away....i never thought people would even have the balls to say something so out of place and not true....i think your full of **** but if this is true then there is two reasons why your YFZ does not compare to the LTR. First reason is your YFZ completely hates you and wants nothing to do with you. The second being the YFZ has to much power and you can't control it so you decided to stick with the slower bike which is easier to ride. With your mods a HRC 450r or a piped YFZ will smoke your LTR....how could i know this probably cause of experience....ive seen a YFZ with a HMF pipe smoke a cherry bomb and yoshi pipe LTR....seriously it wasn't even close.

big H is right the LTR sucks in stock form my kawi is side by side to a piped ltr it has good accel but everything else sucks

i have an 06 ltr450 stock and i raced a piped 450r today i beat him off the line but he came back with like 4-5 mph faster i think that if i got 20 inch tires in the back like him it would be an even race in the end but if i where you ide go with the yfz or the 450r they have so much stuff on them
