The a arms just got new balljoints, and bushings 2 weeks ago The motor was just built in March. Everything is in good shape. No problems with this 4 wheeler, when we did have a problem we always had it fixed right. it also has 250r duel piston front calipers, with new pads and new pads on the rear also. The plastics do have a hole from the pipe, and the pipe has a couple dents in it. Other than that there isnt anything else wrong. Just wondering what to ask out of it.

It is a 2003, and i've been the only one to own it. The pictures do not show the Stem, hubs or the new nerf bar netting.

It is a little dirty in the pics.

I know that it is dirty in that picture it usually doesn't look like that this was after a race. I was just hoping for an idea. That was right before the whole front end got replaced. I was kind of hoping for around the $3500 range.

Good luck, now a days you can get 450s for that much, quads don't hold their valve for long.

I will do. As far as quads holding there value...of course they don't hold there value. If I wanted all the money back I put into it I would ask $8000 out of it.

I bet it will hold more relative value than similarly modded 400EX's. I don't know that much about MX racing classes, but a 400ex is up against the newer 450s so I figure a lot of folks aren't really going too look to hard at 400EX's--no matter what the modifications.

But your 300EX is in the sub-300cc classes. So someone wanting to race in those classes might be looking for just what you've got. And as you've alluded to, it's a heck of a lot cheaper to buy someone else's race bike than to build your own.

I'm not sure how on target that reasoning is, but it seems to make sense to me.

I say ask what you would like to get out of it: $3500. "Market" it as a race bike for a racer.

If you just try and sell it as a $3500 sport quad, non-racers are probably just going to by-pass it and look at 400EXs and the like.

Be patient, but if no racers show interest then drop your asking price until it appeals to the general 300EX market.

$0.02
