Are there any problems mounting shocks from a 250r or a 400ex on a 450r??? I'm wondering about standard travel aftermarket shocks

they are usually a little shorter 1/2 inch or so ,will work for rec riding but for mx frame may hit if flat land a jump, unless you can find a company that actually makes arms thet use 250r length shocks

Why do you want to put lower quality shocks on a hi performance machine?? Get the stock ones revalved.

i have stock resprung and revalves now... keep bottoming them out on flat landings... going to have to get them redone or get aftermarket ST shocks

You must not have them setup right.

I would send them to get revalved again and reset for you with a stiffer spring.

Yea, bottoming out the shock is ok but when i'm scrapping frame... that's a little extreme

ever think they need to be serviced? Shock oil breaks down just like motor oil. ALot of people dont even think about the shock oil. Normal racers should be getting them serviced at the half way point of each season and at the end. Twice a year. Rec riders should be servicing them about once every year.

I just got my Derisi revalves back yesterday and i rode for like 20 min and its a HUGE difference. I love it. I should have called Derisi and told him the shocks were coming before I even took the quad off the show room floor. You can even compare them to the stockers.

Yea, thought about that but i need them for Quadfest and i don't think i have time to ship them out and get them back before then.... Going to find out though..
