If your going to race Mx go with the Cdale.

If your going to race hare scrambles go with the Yfz.

shocks are to stiff tires are wrong its to wide chances are youd need to change the gearing you could easily swap it out for under a grand to regular by changing ur offset way softening up your shocks and getting new tires

I never rode a Cdale of looked much into them but what I have heard (which was very little) that they are good machines but have their faults. I'd go with the reliable Yfz.

:p ......Sorry, thats just funny.

Not knocking the Yamaha, but Cannondales are amazing bikes, especially if they are built. If you are mechanically inclined, and take care of it(as you should with any race bike) a Cannondale, with a few of the updates that it does need, is just as reliable as any of the new Production bikes.

I absolutely love my Cannondale.

I'd say go with the Cannondale......as long as your gonna take care of it.....not neglect it, have it fail, and chalk it up as a Cannondale problem.

PS.....just so you know...it's CANNIBAL, not cannonball

how are they compared to the 450s speed wise. I have a ktm sx 450 dirt bike now and i think if i went to the yfz it wouldent be a big deal but how would the c dale stack up aganst the 450s ??????????????

if you have limited funds the yfz would be my choice, alot more readily available and cheaper parts.

you need to chose what you are going to do with it (mx/xc)
and ride both to see which is a better fit for you.

2800 is pretty cheap for those atv's (check for problems)

I am assuming you have found these 3 and they are all in your price range ?

dont know about the dale price but the yfz and the pred in good shape are worth $4,000 or more (ball park)

the yfz im looking at is a 04 with cam and pipe with 55 hours in great shape for 2800 and the cdale is race ready in mass and 5 hours on a new rebuild for 2500 and i think ive eliminated the pred anyway

ok try this, buy the yfz and resale it for 4k
now you can buy the c dale and have 1,500
for race expenses and upgrades
