View Full Version : smashed my finger in a van door
have you ever done that? ****! that hurts so bad! this morning 7:50, i was getting on the van and my hand slipped into the crack of the door closer to the front and i tripped and the door shut on my hand and i stuck there. this gurl had to unbuckle her seat belt and push the door back open.
well it swelled up almost twice the size of my left thumb. it hurt really bad so i went to the ER. they said i wasn't broken or fractured of anything but it was bruised pretty bad and they might have to do surgery on my finger.
they said i could have internal bleeding and they caused blood blisters and they might have to drill a hole in my finger to let the pressure out. then they take off my fingernail and i grow a new one back. it's really sore. oh well. i overdosed on advil i took 4 so i can't fell it for the most part right now.:devil. damm it's just on of those days!:grr

when i broke my leg they gave me Tylenol 3. DO NOT TAKE THAT ON AN EMPTY STOMACH!! it's pretty powerful, lol

unfourtunatley. i thought it was broken or chipped. my mom wanted to make sure. she's paranoid. yeah it's like:huh, you went to the ER for a bruised finger. i know what you mean, but i thought i just bruised my shoulder and my mom made me go and it was broke.

sorry to hear that dude! post some pics.
the swelling is down to just a little. but i'll post the pics if i get surgery or when it bruises in a couple days.

i smashed my thumb to in a car door at haspin acres and i broke my thumb it swelled up triple the size.....i had to sit and not ride all day sunday cause it happend in the morn....i had to go and get the blood drained out of it......mine is looking better now though it is still black and blue and my nail is gonna fall off.......

i'm trying to get used to using my left hand for the space bar. i didn't fail my English Test!!!!!!!!! i got an 88!!!! that's good!!!! i didn't study and went to bed at 12. sorry, had to tell you that.:D

I crused my pinky in the tailgate of a pickup. Broke finger and about 8 stiches.
They burnt a hole in my finger nail to release the pressure of the blood. It was pretty cool, the Doc whips this pen like think out of his pocket, takes off the cap and touches my finger nail. After like 2 seconds blood coming out, and I had a little hole.
did it hurt? cause my other friend said that your whole fingernail comes off and it hurt like $hit. he's prob just trying to get my hyped up.

He just burnt a hole in the finger nail. You dont feel a thing. I also got lucky because my finger nail didn't fall off.

they just put a needle in my nail and drained all the blood out of it...they didnt have to burn it.....it didnt hurt couldnt feel a thing....but now i have this hole in my nail that looks funky.....

i had a serious ear ache when one day, and i couldnt get to sleep i was just crying and rolling around.
my dad took me to the ER at 1am, and the doc there was actually in training, and he gave me 3 tylenol 3's every hour, and i took them until 8 the next day. for some reason, they didnt do much, until i passed out (another long story) in my math class at school, and i was rushed to the hospital because my blood sugar dropped too low, and the doc guy was fired.

no kidding! my grandma was on the stuff when she had her back surgery and she said she saw clowns dancing on the walls with knives threating to kill her if she told anyone. it was actually sad because she hit the panice button and she was crying and petrified and didn't know what to do. obvioulsy someone gave her just a little too much. lol.:eek: :D

i know this is really lame but here's a picture of my thumb. i hope you like my thumb! j/k. the hurting one is on the right. as you can see it's a little swelled. i got it slammed 12 hours ago so the swelling went down about double.

morphine (sp?)... that was great! i had it when i broke my arm (in like 3 places... ask ill tell you... lol) i saw all kinda of crazy shyt lol but done do it unless ur are prescribed(sp?) it!!!! later...
i know. i broke my shoulder in june, hit my head off the diving board in july, wrecked at a track in septmber, wrecked at a track in October, slammed my finger in the door today. then 2 years ago a mary statue hit me in the head and knocked my out cold and my head was split open, and i lost a lot of blood! then a couple months later i fell on a nail and i went right through my knee. surgery and 11 stiches.
i've had more, too many.
Man, just stop doing everything and you should be alright.
never thought about that. but when you break a bone, it's like your a chich magnet. they all want to sign your cast. and you tell them ouch becaues they're writing too hard and they smile at you. it works. try it.:D :D

did something like that once,,,,,,a couple of years ago i was working on an evaporative cooler and my left thumb got caught up in the drive belt and got pulled through the pulley under the belt.......OUCH!!!!!!
Took my nail 98%off,,broke the bone and i had to have 5 stitches in the nail bed. I didnt know a needle could go so far into a thumb
i still cant feel things quite right on that thumb:D
i bet that hurt worse than what i did. my pappy cut his finger off. it grew half back. he was cutting a piece of wood and his finger slipped and whoops:rolleyes:, he didn't even feal it he said. the nerve cells were directly cut off leaving no feeling. that's sick.

I got a sliver once underneath my thumbnail, it was lodged so far up that you couldnt see it. I went to the ER because the wood had chemicals on it and I had to get it out, so the doctor just numbed my thumb ( which hurt like a ***** anyway cause it lifted up to get the sliver up there ) and pulled it up to get the sliver out. Well the nail was mostly off for a few weeks and as it healed and grew it fell off, but it was painful because I actually had to pull it off from the skin left.
