Solenoid

Somebody gave me this 250ex, and it was in pieces...ive got it all put together, but i cant figure out what 2 wires run to the solenoid? Any help would be great!

Ya i had a 1988 Yamaha Moto-4 and this is how it went my negative battery terminal wire went to the terminal on the right and my starter motor wire went to the left terminal... i cant attach my pic its to big so hook them up and if it doesn't work switch the cables around
