wobbly axle???

hey guys, today i was changing my wheel on my 400ex an i noticed that the axle moves up an down and wobbles a bit with in the swing arm. should this be happening? or has a bearing gone or something?

any help would be good

you need new carrier bearings. Dont ride till you get them. you can throw a chain into the motor or destroy the carrier.

eh, sometimes they can be a real *****. If you can. pop the seals out of the carrier first and then clean the carrier real good without using chemicals. Then put it in the oven for like 5 min, then hit the bearings out. Only heat it if you cant get them out regularly. Installation is as easy as freezing the bearings and again, heating the carrier and then just slipping them in. Sometimes you will need to "tap" them in place.
