Me and my friends have a slightly different approach to riding from most of you youngins' here- we're all about trail riding, so we need ground clearance and durability- (I also didn't want to spend a fortune) the 250 has delivered big-time. The shaft drive and sport clutch are two big bonuses I didn't even think about when i bought it but after spending a year and a half in the trails they have proven to be wonderful assets.

i got rid of my 250 too...the last thing ill get is a banshee haha those quads are so unreliable and crap compared to a nice new 450. get with it...also he didnt say he gets the quad for the sound, he said "it sounds good to me" as in it seems good. tard.

That just made me laugh, considering that if you do not know how to take care of a fourwheeler, let alone a 2-stroke, and have it jetted correctly, you would have no problems, 4-strokes are more reliable but damn, you have to drop more then a grand into it just to rebuild it. but for me only takes me an hour to rebuild my two stroke after every season of racing. Not to bad huh? Just have to know how to work a two-stroke and take care of it.

my 07 250ex, currently have a no toil air filter,tusk nerfs,and acerbis handguards.

For now, this quad is just right for me as my first, seeing as I came from dirtbikes. sure I could have more power but I didn't have the cash to dish out. It is what it is and I'm extremely pleased with it. I'm gonna be getting rid of those god awful rear tires btw, and making some modifications to the plastics and what not.

I can't get over how much I hate how the rear end of this thing looks.

These mods made a worlds difference! might try the banshee front shock on back and some nerfs. But the ol lady likes it as is and has lots of fun, guess thats all that matters

The arms are 5 inches wider overall. The quad is now 44" wide in the front. The rear is narrower, but I'm going to get some new tires, and maybe 1.5"- 2" wheel spacers for the back, but I don't know if this is such a good idea. Maybe I should get an axle, but I don't know who sells 250ex axles.

new tires will definatly help,there are mixed reviews on wheel spacers good and bad, durablue makes an extended axle and its warranted for life;)

Yes, they are the stock shocks. I actually noticed improvement on the shocks. Before I would bottom out on some jumps, but now they hold up pretty good. Before with the stock arms I would always bounce back and forth on the whoops. But now I go pretty fast and the quad handles the whoops great. I love them. Its 100% better now. I just finished them like a week ago, so I took the quad for a test ride and it surprised me on how much better it is. This was way better than spending more than $500 on new arms.

when I put my paddles on it I left the spacers on rear but it makes the fronts look too narrow

I like the 21's they float well but still dig corners

22's float but tend to push a little more on my 450

One picture was with claws on it and the other is with stock 400ex tires. The elkas was on the bike when I purchaced it last year, it also has a high comp piston and a web cam. It's a fast little 250, but it's time for my son too move up, thats why the 250ex is for sale.

just picked this 04 up for a grand, for my girl to ride. its in great shape, runs awesome, guy i got it from said the kid he got it from put the 400ex fronts on there, kinda silly but they will work for now.

never rode one before i got this one and was surprised with the power of these lil quads have even with my 220 pound ***** on it haha, pretty happy with it should be a good quad for her

thats what happens when your quad is pushing your rims one way and the ground is pushing the tires the other way. This is how tires that are aired down can come unseated from the bead and come flying off the rim, thats what a beadlock wheel eliminates.

Both my 250's Call them leather and lace. I have the R for when I feel like a workout, but feel the EX is the perfect trail quad for just kicking back and cruising. Yes that is a Diamond J widening kit. Im 250lbs and no signs of weekness. Worth the money in my opinion.

not racing the ex for my 2012 season. I paid $900 from a friend for this 04 predator 500. He assumed it had no spark but the carb had just slipped off the boot causing it to get zero fuel.

I went with 20x11 rears and 21x7 fronts.

I just think 22's are too big for these machines.
the extra clearance is nice, but throwing shorter and more squared tires seems to help stabilize it side to side better.

I ride a kawi kfx450 but i'll ride this thing around too. its an awesome quad.
