yfz piston question [Archive]

Will a 14.5:1 CP piston for an 06' work in an 04'? I installed it already, closed up the motor and there are no clearance issues. It started and revved ok. Will there be any adverse affects out on the track? I'm in a jam and don't have time to get a fresh set of cases in my race motor.

i would think it would be alright. when ever they bumped up the CCs didnt they put in a different crank yet kept the same piston size? im not completly positive on this though..

That is correct. I just talked with Keith at DASA and everything will work fine.
