help!!! looking at a 03 suz 400

what are some of the problems with the 03 suz 400??? what breaks???

look for cracks in the frame above the front shocks, where tey mount. also look at the rear sub frame to see if its straight. look at the swing arm to see if the chain adjuster bolts are messed up. look for leaking oil. lissen for knocking in the engine (some cam chains get streched out and hit the case) make shure the wheels are straight when the bars are straight.

they are not at all junk, just not the best for mx. i rode the hell out of my 03 in the woods, ran a few harescrambles with it as well. really sturdy bike if you ask me, didnt give me any problems what so ever. just be careful if you wander onto an mx track. 03 z400s are also the only eyar 400 with bad frames, in 04 they changed the design. bad frames have grab bars that do not come off, easy spot!

dude there fine. youll only have problems if you really crash it hard. i did this 8ft tall table a bunch of times and my quads fine. i over shot it, under shot it and it hold up fine. i have stock shocks from an 03 too.
