A while ago my Cap fell off of my gas tank in the rain , and since than it wont run. I changed the gas, and cleaned the plug. When I took the plug out, (PITA) It was pure Black, which i think is rich, but not sure...After cranking on it the battery is low, which im not sure if they recharge or not, it wont run. I have bump started it, it would run, but when its started it would pop, like an explosion from the excess fuel. the battery would die soon after. the idle knob has been played with, but nothing else. I just got a WB mx 4 exhaust that hasnt put on yet, but I want to get it running first. Anyone have any ideas what could be wrong?

suggestions.
1) do a compression test, if low compression it could be the intake valves need adjusting or replaced.
2) put in some fresh fuel and drain out the fuel bowl. You might even try to run a little splash of carb cleaner in the fuel to help remove the water.
3) the predator (or at least mine) is very picky about hard to start if the battery is low. It will turn over but not start. Put it on the charger and or jump start it.
4) make sure you don't have any debris in your carb where the slide is located holding it up. Don't laugh, I've had it happen to me.
