jetting 400ex

i just instaled a hotcam stage 2 now my 03 400ex is over heating i think. its smoking in front of the motor and smells like oil buring and when i rev it up in neutral more smoke apperas. i took out my plug and it looks to be if its runing lean. i have a 155 main jet now what should i bump it up to? i was thinking 160 165. i live in nh thanxs

well... lean jetting would not involve smoking coming out of the front of the engine, i would look for an oil leak or a blown gasket,
thats the only thing that makes sense to me

Exhaust gaskets? Valve cover leak? Had you been working on your quad?

there might be a little bit of left over oil from when you took off the valve cover, mine did the same thing upon initial start up. Check to makes sure you valve cover gasket isnt leaking.

As far as jetting, I would bump it up to a 158 and move the clip on the needle down one notch then check to see where you are at.

ok thanxs ill look for leaks today but if i cant find any im just going to bring it back to my honda shop because there the ones that instaled the cam so
