View Full Version : Round em up...Hatfield McCoy..part 3
Well ladies I figured waiting till the last week of June would be pure torture for those of us lookin forward to goin back to Hatfield. So I figured since were gonna have 2 rides there per year or so I'd spread them apart a little further. I'm definitly stickin the fall ride on the last week of Sept..that seemed like a perty good time frame. So instead of goin the last weekend of June,,what about the 2nd weekend of May(8th-11th) or last weekend of April(24th-27th). Can't do it first weekend of may cuz that's the KY derby weekend. I"m up for more possible dates...especially from guys around the WV area that are more familiear with how the weather is in the spring..
So let's get this thing rollin and come up with a date...What about a new years day ride...:eek: just kidden..:blah
PS..anybody from PA..better bring me some yeingling this time or your campin at the horse stables..:mad:

When I had this decision I figured at least 18 beers a day,,if it rains and we dont' ride that number goes to 24. So basically a case a day..:eek: Oh and if ya drink the hard stuff like I do..a 5th of something good also..:devil

OK which is it April or May. Well it doesn't matter 'cause you know I'll be there. Ya'll know it will be like a quarterly thing. I was there in May, June, and Sept. this year. May ride was freezing so think about that.

Well I also thought about the last weekend of May which is memorial day weekend..(my birthday) woo hoo that could benefit me cuz ya'll will have ta bring me some presents...anywho...the only thing i don't like about the memorial day weekend is that I'm sure since it's a long weekend the place will be packed with riders..we've been pretty fortunate the last 2 times we went because really we had the trails to ourselves..should we make it memorial day weekend????

I definately dont like memorial day weekend because holiday weekends are real hard for me to get off of work. The first weekend in June sounds better to me.

If we make it June, then we may as well leave it the last weekend in June like this year. I say we do it the last weekend in April (24-27). If it is a little cool then just suck it up. Then we'll be ready to come back in June for that ride.

Well I"ve got plenty of camping sites reserved right now for the April ride..i'll start a head count post probably about 4 weeks out from the actual date of the april trip. IT's loads of fun and something you dont' wanna miss if your within a 10 hour drive of the place..

What was up with that car alarm going off at 4:30am Sunday morning? I staggered out to drain the lizard and about 40 ounces later, just as I’m about finished Some trucks “horn alarm” went off, then I see something naked flee from the passenger side door and out into the darkness.
What the, is that?,,,,,,,,,Ahhhh, I’m going back to bed. (And locking the screen door)
PS – I still have some “EXRiders HM” shirts left if anyone didn’t get there’s swapped out.

No,,,you can unload them and look at them in the parking lot but your not allowed to turn them on and ride. Knighttime and myself normally swap out cams when we go since there's nothing else to do but drink beer and stare at the quads...:cool: __~

Hey guys, wanted to add something for your next trip down to HM. Our outfitter business now has a helmet cam and we are in the process of getting a few more. We are going to offer filming of guided tours, and also offer it without a guided tour. If you guys are interested you can contact me through my website or email wvtrailguides@hotmail.com. We have sportbikes so keeping up should'nt be to big of a problem. We even have editing software so we could put exriders.com on the film or whatever you would like.

Do you know how ta put the hammer down?? That sounds really great I think. Are you wanting to film moderate riding at a casual pace or like doing everything you can to keep up with us. I'd volunteer for either just don't follow froggieboi cuz he tends to fall off his quad alot..:D

I love to put the hammer down, and It would be great to get some footage of some extreme riding. I am going to have tons of casual riding from our guided tours with our rental machines, and I also want to appeal to groups with a lot of experience. I raced in a GNCC this year (Millfield) so I have been known to put the hammer down from time to time. Pass the word around with the group and let me know if you are interested. I am available on Saturdays and Sundays. I could probably produce about two hours of footage for each day of filming (riding).
Welp you got a deal then,,we've got 3 weekends of riding planned so I'm sure we'll get some good footage..Your also more than welcome to come stay at logan campground with us too,,it's normally a really good time,,almost more fun than riding..:eek:

I got it all covered cheif,,just show up, the area I have reserved should hold about 60 people ,prices are like $5 per tent a night..camping is pretty cheap. I've got 3 sites with water and electric and they run $20 a night,,one is reserved for myself and my roadies and the others are pretty much fair game. O bring one extry beer for me..:D

Hey just saw your alls posts about Hatfield. I would like to join the ride I live here in wv. Have you all decided on a certain date yet. I think spring time is good due to less riders on trails and also the trails a still muddy and keeps the dust down.
WE will be having 3 rides there this year...last weekend of april, june and sept...
April ride i've got reservations at the campground alreeady for 50+ riders. I'll be startin more threads with all the details as it gets closer..:D
For a good laugh and reading on our past trips,,look back in the trail tales and were to riide forums..

I have been trying to get something like this going for a little while now...I That Weekend in May is good date for me...I will be there with 6 or 7 other buddies....Anyone gonna go that day and make ride down from Pa let me know we can get a convoy goin....lol
