Does the yz426 motor fit pretty well into the 400ex chassis without having to modify anything else But the motor mounts?? Im looking to pick up a 400ex frame, switch everything from my 250R chassis onto that, rather then modifying my 250R frame.

Yeah i would agree with ss440ex, the EX/YZ Swap i probably the
easyest,

PLZ add in if i forgot somthin

Make a Bushing for the Pivot bolt and motor
Buy the front motor mounts
Make rad. Mounts
Make bottom motor mounts
Make head stay mount

and i think thats about it...

Also a .230 spacer for the R/H side of the YZ engine.
Because its that much shorter than the 400ex.....

The YZ engine is not as wide in the rear as the 400ex.
Between the swing arm.....

Spacer must go on the R/H side for sprocket aliegnment.
Positioning the engine to the L/H side.
