To take the nut off, turn it towards the front of the quad. I think the cover is magnesium, but I'm not sure.

Standing at the back of the bike, put the wrench on the jam nut so it (wrench) is sticking out the back, push down to loosen. Same for the other one.

You have to loosen the inner nut 1st then the outer, put the bike in gear and have someone hold the rear brake and good luck.

Try appling heat.I had the same problem.I bought Gforce axle wrenches(bent 1)and huge pip wrenches finally with a lot of heat with the propane torch loosend up one so i was able to tighten them.I will either have to try cutting between both nuts with a cut off tool or something.I will eventaully use the antifade carrier!!!

thats because the 450r motors are so easy to decompress. I can push my 450 around the yard cranking itself over. Thats why they are so easy to push start. Get someone to use the rear brake while you loosen the nut.

Try a cheater bar.. the solution to almost everyone of my problems. Using a blow tourch to heat it up and having somone stand on the rear break helps a lot.
