well ive been asking a ton of questions on this site about shimming valves because i didnt seem to have any clearance. and many of you said that i need a valve job... well after being stubburn i have found the correct shim... my clearances are right on and my 450 fired right up today! just wanted to give you guys the heads up that i got it running and do NOT need a valve job.

There is a reason your intakes go to zero, and shimming them is a short time fix. Chances are your valve seats are shot, along with your valves.

local shop checked my head and everything is within specs... i think im fine

Very true, you are fine. i re shimmed my valves 4 times, but like Rulz said there is a reason why they are getting tighter and tighter. and you will sooner or later need a valve job. the valve is getting wore out and it is going farther and farther into the head, thus the reason you need thinner shims.
