Has anyone tried to advance the intake timming like they do on the YFZ? If so does it make a big difference? Will this also work w/an after market cam? This is for a LT-R 450.

No you can't do that on the LTR. BTW ...you retard the exhaust cam on the YFZs for the cam-mod.

Sorry about the mix up. Just remember reading about the YFZ and couldn't remember it exactly. Why won't this work on the LTR? Is it cuz of the efi?

You can advance the timing on the LTR by rotating the "Timing Advance" controll toggle. It is located on the lower left hand side of the engine case, just behind the oil drain plug. I have mine cranked up to 19* advance and it hits like a dragster, but they say that only experienced riders should add that much timing.

why should only experienced riders do this? becuase of the power of because if you stall out, its advanced so much that it will break?
