Do I need this if im running an open air box? If not then im not gonna worry about buying it

no, you don't. take a cap off most spray cans and put it in the hole in the airbox where the duct goes.

I could never find a small enough spray cap. So I went to Home Depot and bought an ABS pipe cap. I think it's either an 1 1/4 or 1 1/2, I can't remember now, but it's black so it matches my airbox.:D Was a little tight but not too bad.

nacs racing used to make a block off cap for the air intake duct.......anodized and all.......fits and looks better than plastic .

cap off a gallon of radiator fluid is what Im using. Or was it a cap off a tube of grease? I dont remember, but do know I found something I could by looking around my shop

are yall using the stock airbox with no lid? I may get the aluminum airbox for our bikes, or maybe even the plate that just holds the filter on but im worried that if I happen to hit some water it will get sucked through the filter

then your better off using the stock box with the inlet plugged as suggested.
