I have some questions about aftermarket a-arms like BURGARD, Wicked Products, HOUSER, FULLFLIGHT, Laeger, Armadillo Off Road? which ones are the best and are some of the cheaper ones worth the money?

What the advantage of the +2 +1 over +2 +0?

I ride mostly trails and woods. any info will help. Thanks

laegers are the best. stick with stock length or +1 dont go any bigger.

It all depeds what your doing to determine legnth, so what are you going to be riding ? If your racing motocross i strongly recommend Gibson. If you trail riding id recommend Houser.

And as for the +2+1 / +2+0 the first "+" determines how much wider it will make it, the second "+" determines how far it will stretch foward over stock if any.

There are a lot of differences in A-arms. Materials, type of welding used, thickness of tubes, pivot joint style and material, etc. Also the "cheaper" ones sometimes don't do any R&D on their product. A +1 width a-arm would be good for the woods. Plus forward A-arms typically aren't needed on Honda quads and sometimes have a negative effect on handling.

I am quite partial to my Houser Racing A-arms. I would do some research and see what you think would be the best for your application and budget.

You really do get what you pay for. Houser and laeger are both excellent arms. Like everyone said it depends on the style of riding you are doing for what width you want. Keep in mind stock shocks are recommended for wider aarms.

If you want the best, then go with Roll Design or Walsh, if you want the best for the money Laeger, Houser, Gibson, and Herrmann are all pretty good for the $.

personaly i think walsh is the best. but they cost a pritty penny. leagers are nice but also very expensive id say go with houser because burgard has crappy customer service

If you ran +2 standard travel a-arms, say Houser for example, with a HiPer 4-1 off set rims about how wide would a 400ex front end be? How would it do for XC?

I have Houser and Lonestar race a-arms and they are both very nice a-arms. The Lonestar race a-arms has more adjusments than the housers

i like those or housers. on the 400ex you can go +2s on the front and run 4:1 offset rims and it will be sittin at 47 inches in the front which is perfect for xc. then all you got to do is put on a set of 3:2 offset rims to gain 2 inches of width for the mx track. i would go with +2s from houser or laeger. i wouldn't buy armadillos, and i wouldn't go with +1 forward a arms (+2 +1)
