Im running a JRD chassis with an Afco radiator. Any idea on scoops? I want something nice and clean. I check the hybrid pic thread and some look nice. The quad-techs look good, but would they bolt cleanly up to an Afco? Maybe I'll get the JRD ones, but they dont seem like they really "scoop" much...

Pics? Do they bolt up to the quad or the radiator itself?

i have a set of omf's, and they do not work with the jrd frame. the scoops on other frames seem to bolt onto the frame not the radiator. the jrd ones which are really nothing are the only ones i've seen on there frames. i got omf louvers to work though...

I think I might just order some JRD scoops then.

Our swingarms do use the stock 250r swingarm bearing kits as far as I can see. It's the kit with 2 sleeves instead of one long one. The 88-89 kit I believe.
Also, if you EVER want to sell those 250r mounts, let me know first!

VERY NICE! I could try and make my own, that wouldn't be too hard. I'd rather just buy some though...

Anyone have good detailed pics of the Walsh scoops?

Walshes require a Walsh Radiator. I have a set of practically new Quad Tech's for sale. They have 8 laps on them.

I gues thats a no go on the Walsh then.

I was thinking about yours, but will they bolt right up to an Afco? Thats what is mainly holding me back, and the price.

There is a decent gap between the radiator and the Quad Tech shrouds. I run PWR radiators on both my Laeger's and they fit pretty well. They came with some flaps to block the gap and fill the space, so that the air is redirected, and I know since the AFCO's are a bit larger than most other oversized rads, that the gap would probly be a little closer to the radiator.

Does the JRD frame even have mounts for the stock style scoops?

I was looking at your thread, and from the looks of it, that's a JRD radiator. It also doesn't look like there are any OEM style scoop mounts..? If there isn't, just fab up some new ones that will bolt directly to the radiator that look better than the JRD ones..

Nah, thats my old radiator. The JRD doesn't have the OEM radiator mounts :(
I like to look of the JRD scoops, but they really don't do all that much as far as "scooping" goes. I may go with them again, I dont know.
