White Brother E Series Pipe Question

i have a white brothers e series pipe on my 300ex. i have a uni filter with a hp air box and the jetted carb but i took the plates out of the wb pipe and now its just a straight pipe with the tip on it. will this hurt the quad in anyway? what are the plates for and is it ok that i took them out? I dont want to mess anything up thanks alot

I would put he plates back in, it won't hurt anything with them out but your bike has no back pressure and this will take away all your bottom end.

the more disk the more power

The disks work to create a vaccum effect when the exh gas comes out of the engine so a cleaner charge of new gas and air can come into the engine. w/o the disks you will lose a lot of bottom end but will gian up top. Also the more disks u put in does not necessarily mean more HP. It true the more disks the more wide open the pipe will be. But if u cant use the extra opening of the exh then it hurts low end HP. Hope thats clear enough. 8 to 14 disks works good on mine. low end is great with 8 disks!
