well as some of you may remember i had my 1st cannondale stolen about three years ago and i just got a call about a week ago from brad at blackwidow telling me that they had recovered my bike so in 3 years from what i have talked to brad about it. the bike went from central maryland somehow mad it up to ohio and then out to salt lake city. so those of you that have had a bike stolen dont give up hope as it could be anywhere

heres the story that brad gave me In February of 2006 we purchased the assets of a Cannondale dealer that was located in Eastern Ohio. The lot of parts included 6 ATV chassis. None of them had titles. We recently finished re-building three of the quads. We then applied to the State of Utah for titles (we're required to have them here). When the VIN numbers were checked, one was discovered to have been your stolen quad.

Thats really cool but also completely terrible that a dealer owned a stolen quad.

I was just thinking the other day about how everyone complains about quads being stolen but at the same time we probably have heard of or know someone who purchased a quad that was possibly stolen. We'll never stop the cycle if we don't take responsibility for making sure the people stealing them can't sell them. An now off my soapbox...

Now thats crazy. Have you gotten the quad back yet? Hopefully they didnt beat the snot out of it and tear it up. And like parkers30 said, thats pretty bad a dealer had a stolen quad.

Oh trust me, you don't forget about a stolen quad. I had two quads stolen from me a couple years ago and I didn't go a day with about worrying about my babies.

That's great that you're getting it back.
