300ex beat a 400ex?????

dirtwheels built a 300ex up a little while ago and it beat the 400ex. I think it was like a 330 kit but i'm not sure. Heck i'm not even sure if it was dirtwheels.

it takes ALOT of money to get a 300ex to have the power and speed of a 400ex.

they raced that 330 against a stock 400 and they said it was damned close...but by the time you build a 330 right...you still wont be able to take a piped and jetted 400...and your wallet will hurt...

I have a 300ex with the mods in my sig. It stays right with a 400ex until I hit the rev limit at 65mph, his will do about 81-83mph. From take off up to the rev limit it's dead even.

I might also add that this is on the road, now in the grass or dirt I just spin until I hit forth and he's already gone. He has new shreeders and I still have worn stockers.

How far away are you Castor-400ex. Your sig does not say anything about you quad, is it stock or is it a 440-500? Doesn't really mater, I'm always up for some fun comp. Just was wondering. As long as we don't go over 60-65.

I've never had the chance to really ride anywhere besides around the yard and my buddy's house. He has about 15 wooded acres that we cut trails through, lots of hills, lots of fun. I have kids, a wife with a full time job and my full time job, not much time left for anything else.

By the way You ment drag as in race, right? Just wanted to make sure before I agree to anything. j/k

nope ...not just a 330 kit...it has to be built properly to hang with a stock 400...im talkin larger valves..ect...just a 330 kit with a piston and cam...????nope...it will not smoke a piped 400...unless the rider on the 400 drinks bong water:eek:

Im not talking about racing in water either, I only have 500 dollars invested in the motor from CT racing, Im not talking smack just cause I own a 300ex, I also own a 400 and im just telling you my 300 will out run my slightly modded 400 pretty bad, all of my mods are in my sig.

ok guys i raced a completly stock 400ex and beat it buy about 2 quad lengths but we only raced from on telophone pole to about 4 more down so he dient have time to catch up on the top speed...........butstill say i can i beat it!

If your talking about MX, then its all rider. When I used to have my 300 with just a pipe and filter, I could beat about half of the 400's out there, it doesn't matter what they had done to them. Its all rider. Just like Doug Gust could come and humiliate you while riding a modded 90 while your on your 440 with custom axis suspension if your not a good rider. So if it's MX, yes, a 300 could possibly beat a 400 stock for stock or mod for mod if the right rider is on the 300.

My 400 beats my friends 300 with port polish and some other stuff in the motor not shure, it's full system piped and K&N all that stuff all i have is a K&N and bald tiers when i raced him!!!:devil as long as its a honda it dont matter!!!

A FRIEND OF MINE BOUGHT A 300EX WITH A MEGA MAX PIPE, AND NO KNOWN MOTOR MODS,(AND HE WEIGHS ABOUT 30LB. LESS THAN ME). WE DRAG RACED, (MY STOCK 400 RUNNING A 14T COUNTERSHAFT SPROCKET) , WE RAN EVEN TILL I RAN OUT OF GEAR-THEN I WAS PASSED. 15T WOULD HAVE HELPED BY HAVING EACH GEAR PULL LONGER, AND MORE TOP SPEED. WHAT THIS ALL BOILS DOWN TO..............I HAVE'NT A CLUE..........JUST PASSING ALONG THE EXPERIENCE FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH.:)
