i see on alot of hybrids the rear plastic flips up from the gas tank. how does it attach by the gas tank? if you were riding wouldnt it bounce up and down? how does this fender system work??

The flip seat hybrid frames have a metal plate welded on the sub-frame with a hole, the stock Honda rubber grommets, (the large one) fits in this location. On the seat assembly, the part that has the seat attached that flips back, it has a round metal piece, about the size of your finger welded on it that is tapered, when you close down the seat, that metal piece fits snugly inside the rubber grommet.
