coil question...

my 89 250r is not running right and ive tried just about everthing so im thinkin maybe coil or stator......my question is...i can pick up a cr250 coil for cheap...i was andering if it would work? also if i buy the dudes entire cr ignition and box and such will it all work? thanks alot

not sure about the cr's someone here should know though ,but i went to service hondas website and got the stock part # and then checked out what other honda atv's had that part # for it's coil. I bought one for a 86 trx200sx cheaper than i could find a 250r coil ,and its the same part #.and worked fine, it even had a longer wire on it.

depends on the year of the CR ignition. and you will need an adapter plate.

search for it on the board, and ESR makes the adapter plate.

you will also need the CR flywheel and stuff.

will just the coil work then? also what year cr does it have to be?
