thats a 130 feet tall to the top, a 70 ton crane wiht its extension on all the way out and check me out im at about 110 feet right there and i had to climb up there to hook the crane on cause we were taking down these old lights and poles at Arkansas Tech in Russelville and next week we'll be putting up new lights :D

i got to climb 4 other 80 foot poles also that day, i know you wouldnt think it but you get pretty tired after climbing a 130 foot pole with freaking 20-30 mph wind gusts up there :eek2:

just thought id post after an interesting week at work since this is the first time my dad let me do the climbing:blah: haha the view from 130 was sick

So where are your pictures from up there? I've climbed some pretty high light poles myself, there's a little bit of sway at the top once the wind hits you.:D Definitely not for the skiddish.:p

i took a couple pics with my phone but i have no clue how to get them on here and obviously my dad had my camera on the ground when i was climbing the tallest pole, but it was wierd being towering above all the other poles which were 80 feet tall. and yea its not for the skidish lol i loved it but at 180 bucks an hour for the crane we were in a pretty big hurry wiht me climbing the poles and he knew i would stand up there and take 20 pics wiht my camera so he wouldnt let me take it up there but ohwell

i help my dad during the summer, he is an electrical contractor, i start college this fall for aviation looking into alot of different things to do with it or specialize in but ill prolly end up specializing in management and aircontrol computer systems. first two years are working on the planes and learning to repair and build them and then the last three are what i want to go into and thats when i get to start the flying classes also.
