if you had 10 minutes to walk in a trick shop and pick a bike to have what which one would it be?

post what you picked and why?
I picked the pro trax because the chasis is really a speed demon...

I would have picked the crf 450 but the chasis really makes a diff.

the 425 ps would be sweet too but damn i luv the laeger chasis

can i say it one more time?
i luv the chasis..

Beerock- na not yet i been busy with school and work. So shops have no proablem with you working out of your garage? I know some shops want store front pictures and show room pictures before they will give you the stuff. Also have you ran into companys who have a like a minimum order? Like do you have to order a certain amount of parts from a company to keep the account acctive?

thanks matt

i think my first pick would be the crf450 cause for `03 honda perked it up some. i wanna get one for in my 400ex chassis , wider axle , a-arms , no preload shocks long travel , of course , and 18 inch holeshots or razr`s ( both to compare really )

does herrmann make chassis that the EX plastic fits on? Cuz I emailed him and he said the R plastic fits on them only! Hmm if he made a CRF450 frame that EX plastic would fit on, I would know what i would be building. So far the only people making frames that accept EX plastic are Fisher(custom made cant buy em unless u know him real good)and LSR chassis.

But I voted for the CRF450 thats the sweetest motor.

10-21-2002, 09:31 PM
well anything is possible, you can put 400ex plasticson a trx 90 if you want.....

10-21-2002, 09:34 PM
**** the conversion can be apain, I tried shooting for it a month ago and it got too confusing and alot more money that i expected so I build 330r after winter is over cuz Im gettin new frame stuff now. Im satisfied with what my motor is giving out. LRD, and .75 bore, hot rod long stroke crank and it goes like a wild raccoon.:macho

ya with the new cases and crank ill be buying a 265 pv cyl and Ill send it to B+B to port it eventually..

I can always relseeve the cylinder for 350....:)

i chose the leagers protrax with the 265. id dump the motor though and put in a 300 or 330. im a two stroke man. (no dirty thoughts now!!) i raced motocross in my younger years, tried a 400ex and didnt like the feel of it so i bought my R.

beerock
10-22-2002, 12:05 PM
youd be surprised how hard a 265 pv pulls......

good choice on the poll though, I picked that too, so did 400exracerx..

No one likes the sound of a Hinson Clutch Basket Breaking 425R? maybe you should have put it in an LRD Attitude Frame, with polished everything.....

10-22-2002, 07:24 PM
i voted a C-dale first, just cuz i absolutely love them. then i would hace chosen the herrmann 426, then the CRF, then the 265 pv laeger bike. all of those are close.

I dunno now I guess, If it was for strictly racing then it would be a fischer cycle 250r with the honda cr250 motor with about 50hp STOCK now put a rpm bore kit in there and exhaust and you would have one nice and light machine. Then axis long travels with walsh chasis or leager.

But if it were a play quad, I would want a 4 stroke for jumping and trail riding and stuff like that. I know it would be custom axis, walsh components but I don't know what I want for motor.

well I did not vote yet, Im so confused...Id like a 450 or a 265 PV in walsh or roll chassis or a duncan K&K racing tricked out yellow 440.

The new YZF450 comes with a 4 speed Tranny...So that's not so good.

if you got it geared right it should be fine. I only use 2nd and 3rd, sometimes 4th. Thats 3 gears, although its a tighter ratio. I think a yzf could pull it no problem, you guys ever driven one of those things?
