bottom end problems

ok i just took out my 86 r and i noticed 1st and 2nd gear were not there. i mean no powerband and i couldn't hill climb or nothing. 3rd gear wasn't the best either but 4th 5th and 6th gears were almost right on the money. i am not very good with engines so if you could gimme some ideas as far as where to start or what to check i would appreciate all the help........

If your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd are still rev'ing out (but going no where) then I would also say its a clutch issue.. clutch slipping.. If its not rev'ing out could be a carb issue.. try taking it apart and cleaning out all your jets.. also check plug.

drop the oil and see if its contaminated....burnt or got alot of streaks......replace clutch
