Well, I really wanted to lift my F250LD, but parts were too hard to find for that and I didnt like the 7 Lug wheels. So, I decided to trade it in for a 2001 Supercrew F150. I almost broke even with it, I had to pay $2000. It has 109,000 miles on it. The F150 has a 5.4 and its a 4x4

My Old F250LD:

My new SCrew:

I have BIG Plans for this truck. I would like to lift it 9" and put some 38's under it.

Heres What I'm goin for:

That truck really had 7 lug wheels? WTF? Nice new supercrew, they're pretty cool looking with a lift and some bigger meat.

Nice truck! I wish I got a supercrew, but oh well. Your last truck was strait piped right? I'd suggest just cutting the exhaust system right before the muffler and scrap the muffler/tailpipe. We did that to a buddy's ford like yours and it sounded real good - and it was really cheap! :blah:

not a bad deal. FYI, if you plan to do any kind of towing or want your truck to be somwhat useable, I would not go the 9'' lift and 38's route. The newer f150's require a good bit of money to lift. My buddy lifted his 02 and the kit was somewhere around $2800. Keep in mind, that does not include gears. 38's will be a killer on your overall gear ratio unless you regear. Plus, if you do towing it'll be bad lol. You'd need like a 10'' drop hitch and probably atleast 4.86 gears atleast. How do I know all of this? We have 3 lifted trucks in the family.

Nice truck though. You'll like it. We just got rid of one very similar to that, but black.

I though about all that which make me think about just going with a 6" lift with 36's.
