shock setup

okay guys i just bought a pair of front 450r shocks for my 400ex and i am gonna get them revalved but i need to use them for two races before i can do that. I weigh 145 without gear, the first race will be mx and the second race will be a desert style race with the course having alot of whoops. I am not a suspension guru so i am asking for your help on to set it up for these two races. It is on stock a arms so any help will be greatly appreciated.

I think you would be fine just tune the comp and rebound to suite you liking for mx, you will need a totally different setup for desert.

yea i figured the two would be different but what about pre load adjustment and that sort of stuff please explain i know very little bout the adjustments and how to adjust thanks

Those shocks are already preloaded all you can do is adjust the ride height, have you put these on your quad yet? get them on and turn the adj up or down to set the sag with the rear. As far as the comp/rebound adj you have to ride at the track and set them up to your preference.
