??? Do i have much to worry about in terms of strength. Compared to stock 400ex rear rims. I bought some with maxxis razr mx 18x10x8. Rockymountain had em for 134$ shipped. Can't do much better than that right. :D

i ran them on my pred 90. They are good wheels as long as you dont leave the asphault with them. The lips bend so easy on them.

.125 rims will bend very easily compared to stock. I would only run them in a place with no harsh jumps or bumps. Stock rims are more like .190 rims but with a rolled edge. I used to run Douglas .190 red labels in the rear and I wasn't too happy with how they held up on the MX track :ermm:

stock rims are stronger than any aluminum rim without a rolled lip or reinforcing ring, and they are far lighter.

so what should i do???
Sell the stockers and buy some 8in.
Just to confirm this i am on a slightly limited budget. I do have a job but 6.00$ p/h doesn't quite help all that much However, i will be selling it here soon once i get my eagle scout. 2 Merit badges and project away. Then the dad said i could get a 250r. Anyways if the rims do go kaput. Is there any slight chance they may fit on the stockers. I mean all it is is more tire not less so i don't see why the bead wouldn't seat. Anyways. Sommore help would be good.

See if you can cancel your order before it ships. I would just get some for a 9" wheel and keep your stock wheels. You CANNOT mount a tire designed for an 8" wheel onto a 9" wheel.

You'd be better off cutting wheels out of cardboard and trying to run on them.... .125s are a joke, I dont even understand why they sell them. MY .190s are not even impressive, I made them look square shaped after one day of practice before... they're practice rims now.

I got a set of .125 douglas rims but i run them on my snowtires so they never see harsh riding

well there already here. What rims would you recommend (8x8's) and where is the cheapest place to get them. I was thinking of getting beadlocks but i just cant justify spending 300$ on something i am not gonna keep. "/ Anyways, tell me what you would buy in my situation.

I would look for a good set of used locks on here, I know there is a like new set floating around with fresh black powdercoat for $200, and why wouldn't you keep them? If you're getting a 250R they'll bolt right up to that too.

If i am gonna sell it i can't sell it with out rear tires... The stock tires and rims are baically flat track tires there so blad. "~

So it would be cheaper to just throw on a set of tires on the stock rims, especially if you plan on selling the quad... look for a set of stock tires or something on here in the used section for a cheap price, put them on your stockers and let them sit in the corner of the garage until you sell it, then take off your beadlocks with tires and keep them for your next bike. Look around you can probably find a decent set of tires for cheap, I've seen some go for nothing more than shipping costs.

.125" blue labels are like butter. Stick with stock wheels if your on a budget, they are the best regular aluminum wheels.

.125 for sand dune riding
.160 for Great for those who ride sand dunes and need a little more strength for light jumping.
.190 for These super strong competition wheels are designed for severe applications such as desert and cross country racing.

Yea I just ordered those .160 douglases, hopefully they hold up ok, we do some pretty hard trail and pit riding but I'm not really into heavy jumping so idk but im hoping they work decently. Wont be riding for a few weeks anyway slipped off the peg and it punctured my leg...15 stitches (4 inside 11 out).

lets start off by saying what type of riding do you do. also have you looked into imf rims i beleived they make a rolled lip rim just like the stockers
